The Products that Started it All -

The three main form factors of computer memory technology that have revolutionized the computer industry are the HDDs, SSDs, and SDs. They are all used on major and minor electronic devices that range from simple personal products such as a music player to a corporate product such as the cloud.

HDD:

Hard Disk Drives

HDDs are used in devices such as a computer and a gaming console. It is one of the amazing technological advances to date. It has opened opportunities for greater computational advancement.

SSD:

Solid State Drives

SSDs are very alike the HDDs; the only difference are their read and write times and their physical dimensions such that they are smaller and lighter. They have allowed for everyday use products such as ultrabooks and tablets.

SD: 

Secure Digital

SDs take on many forms and name but they all essentially the same as they serve the same purpose of extended memory on a device. They are primarily used on mobile phones and digital cameras. Although they are small in size they make up in memory space.
